Tae Kwon Do is a Korean martial art known for its graceful and
powerful kicks, punches, and blocks. At Northampton Tae Kwon Do we practice Ji Do Kwan, a
traditional, noncompetitive style of Tae Kwon Do training.
Ji Do Kwan is challenging, beautiful, and can be used as an
effective form of self-defense. Workouts are physically demanding,
but because teaching starts slowly and gains intensity gradually,
beginners can develop the necessary strength,
endurance, flexibility, and balance over time.
Northampton Tae Kwon Do is located at the Northampton
Athletic Club, where our school has been based since 1997.
Classes are free for all club members.
We currently offer three open classes each week. Beginners are welcome at all open classes. Please feel free to drop in if you have any questions or if you would like to watch or try a class.
